Traditionally Hardanger is done in white or off white colours and in thick 30weight cotton thread, but I decided to do it more modern in colours. But you can also stitch the designs in one colour and the traditional colours if you prefer.I also decided to do it in the normal 40weight embroidery thread which is more available.
