Christmas is high summer in the southern hemisphere and here in South Africa families will be swimming and barbecuing /braai-ing out-of-doors for Christmas Day.

I have designed an easy and colourful ITH summer hat with sea friends embroidered on for children to wear. Each panel is made, with embroidery and lining completely In The Hoop. Each panel has a Satin Cover Stitch Edging.

The Sea-friends Sunhat consists of 6 panels. The panels are then joined with a zig-zag stitch on your sewing-machine in matching thread. All done!

This hat looks gorgeous in bright, colourful cotton fabric.
