I love flowers—The variation of shapes and sizes and color. I love the texture. But I live in Washington State where the beauty of flowers lasts about 3 months. And during that time I have to take allergy pills daily. Thus was born the concept of year round, semi practical flowers. A white rose sits with a candle by my sewing machine. The aroma is vanilla (Non-allergenic) and the candle serves to keep my machine needles at the ready. By my chair is a tulip also with a candle for my pins and needles when I am hand stitching. Over four months and they are still holding their shape as well as the day I made them. But what of Hydrangeas or Poinsettias for even more beauty. They all use the basic base, leaf, petal concept. They are quick to put together and as with nature no right or wrong finished flower. I sure had fun making them—Almost as much fun as having them around the house. Enjoy, Elaine
