"Sand Hills is the largest and last manned lighthouse built on the great lakes. Once home to three light keepers and their families it now serves as a Bed and Breakfast. It is built of yellow Milwaukee brick as are many lighthouses on the great lakes. You can tour the light during the summer at specified times. More traditional looking Eagle Harbor boasts a white stripe on her red brick to serve as a day mark to mariners.
