Kara has introduced a new look in embroidery with this collection, often referred to as Grunge or distressed. Two of these designs, the heart and the star, are done for white/light fabric, as well as a filled style for dark fabrics. It is recommended if you are using a rayon thread to slow your stitching speed on these designs to reduce thread breakage. The technique requires small, close together stitches to achieve this look. Use a good quality polyester thread for the best results.
