Washington is where we make our home�the state of my husband�s birth. It is a wonderful place to live. From our deck we can see the Cascade Mountains including Mt. Rainier. In western Washington trees and water abound. It took some doing to get to Point Roberts Washington. First we had to drive around the Puget Sound (stopping to see lighthouses, of course). Then cross the border into British Columbia, Canada. Then back across the border to get to a 4.9 square mile tip of land that is US. The highest elevation in Point Roberts is 235 feet above sea level. At one time the lighthouse was impressive, today it is a novelty that took us a full day to see and enjoy.
