Study the designs and you will see that I have mimicked the lace shaping which is a common heirloom technique in the larger designs. The lace motif type ribbons can also be stitched out as shadow work, an easy technique I learnt from Pamela Cox when I had the pleasure of embroidering with her. Details on how to do this are included in each PDF accompanying the designs. There are plenty of panels and borders in the collection for your heirloom project, as well as two types of shells and an elaborate buttonhole. Please note that not all sets are available in the HUS, JEF and VIP formats due to the larger designs in the fourth and fifth set.
