Alaska…Many consider it the last frontier. It is said Alaska is emote and cold. Actually it is only cold part of the time. Most of Alaska is remote accessible only by boat or plane. Alaska has days with almost no daylight and nights with almost no darkness. These are the last surviving lighthouses in Alaska. You must be on a ship to see them—No travel by RV to get to them. One of Alaska’s lighthouses fell to a tsunami as did one of the lighthouses of Hawaii. If you look closely at the Point Retreat design you will see a shadow of the keeper in the window.
