"We had the pleasure of
living on Marrowstone Island in Washington. The military
forts on Marrowstone Island, Whidbey Island and in Port Townsend
formed a triangle designed to protect Puget Sound from invasion.
Each had a lighthouse. Today, Pt. Wilson still warns
mariners, Admiralty Head is decommissioned but restored and
maintained while the lighthouse on our island was destroyed just
before we moved there due to budget cuts. That made Pt.
Wilson our closest and most visited light."
