These white work designs reflect the hand embroidery with which Jane Austen would have been familiar in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century. During this Regency period ladies were ardent needle women, creating exquisite sculptured work in white. The high waisted dresses of this time were made of muslin and fine lawn. Machine embroidery can be very uniform, with each petal and leaf exactly the same but in this collection I have endeavoured to capture the diversity of hand work. Each leaf and petal is slightly different. There will be three versions of each design, for 30wt cotton, 40wt rayon and 60 wt cotton. Each gives a very different look. Be aware the bundle for HUS and VIP only contains 3 sets.
