MyThreadBox is a revolutionary software package for anyone who
sews -
especially machine embroidery and machine cross-stitch
users. It uses digital color
value matching (Red-Green-Blue Color Strength Numbers) instead of
'conversion tables' to cross-reference any given thread color to 50
different thread palettes. No longer are you stuck with
the palette that came with your embroidery design - this software gives
YOU the freedom to sew your design with ANY thread palette you
choose AND SAVING the cross-references, as well as searching your collection for the best matches (Pro
Version only). You can also match hand cross stitch floss
to machine embroidery thread colors for those of you who want to machine
cross stitch - Pro Version will also match all 940 Pantone Process Solid
colors (the graphics and print shop standard) to thread palettes for those
of you who do commercial embroidery. |
| You are more than welcome to try out a demo
copy of MyThreadBox - demos will match up to 24 input
colors before dying - the demo version doesn't print any reports
and has a limit on the amount of thread
numbers that can be store in your 'MyThread' stash database
- other than those limits, the demo is identical to the
real, production copy. We believe in letting you have a
good look at what it is that you will be buying. The demo
file is provided as a WinZip self-extracting file that will
open up into a standard Windows-compliant installer
(including uninstall when needed) - they are also small
enough to fit onto a floppy disk (as they come off web -
before installation) so you can pass them around to friends
or install on different computer. |

version you wish. |

itself from a hidden place on website, you MUST keep
your internet connection open to finish install. |

on-screen as the installer will more or less run
itself |
| 6. After install is finished,

MyThreadBox gives you
the unique ability to color match most major thread palettes to
alternate colors - this gives you the freedom to choose what thread
you wish to use to sew out a design. It does this by running
calculations on the Red/Green/Blue color values of the thread color
itself, rather than relying on the manufacturer cross reference
table (which are usually incomplete or inaccurate - when they can be
found).
If you have ever tried to hand-match 25 colors on a complex design
to 3 or 4 different tables (and usually the cross between the
palettes you need does not exist - you have to jump from one to the
other to another), then sort through your collection to see if any
of the possible alternates are in your personal stash, you have no
doubt came to the conclusion that it is simpler to just go out and
buy the recommended thread palette. Nice for the thread makers, bad
for you - would'nt it be nice to just type in the colors you need
and have a list printed out for you (including showing the matches
that are in your thread stash)?
MyThreadBox gives you a good alternative to all that work and time
spent - we do it for you!! We also give you the ability to find
alternates when your dealer or supplier does not stock the right
color for your design as it also searches within the same palette
for a match within tolerances.
MyThreadBox was designed by a husband and wife team (Him - BS in
Computer Science and professional programmer since 1985 as well as
sewing and quilting. Her - very creative - sewing for many years,
quilting, cross stitch, knit, crochet, sewing educator, etc) in
order to solve a problem that was vexing both of us - how to use up
boxes of thread that we have purchased over the years, but were from
different manufacturers than the one listed on the design sleeve.
Runs on any PC with Windows95 or better, including both flavors of
XP (home and pro) - your monitor should be able to display 800x600
resolution (most pc's built in the last 5 to 6 years can do that -
if in doubt, check with the people that sold you the pc) - any
inkjet or laser printer supported by your version of Windows will
work for printing our shopping list.
