 My name is Janet, I live in Melbourne, Australia with my two gorgeous teenage
daughters, Jacqueline and Adelle, my darling Husband, David of some
twenty odd years and my cheeky little boy Bailey, a 12-month-old
Poodle cross Cavalier pup, who is my constant shadow and companion,
where ever I go, he follows (picture is of Bailey).
I am passionate about a few things, my family of course, they always
come first, designing and digitizing and the garden. If you don't
find me in front of the computer or embroidery machine, you'll find
me attending the garden.
With having such a love for the garden and nature I mainly design
and digitize florals. I use techniques in my digitizing to create a
hand stitched look, which gives the embroidery a texture and feel of
hand embroidery.
I started digitizing about 8 years ago and went onto teaching. When
my Daughters started attending a high school which was an hours
round trip, twice a day, I gave up teaching and started to digitize
logos which eventually lead to creating my own designs.
Previously to having my family I painted and taught painting for a
few years, I have always had a creative pursuit. My grandmother was
a tailor and from a very early age I remember sitting with her at
the Singer treadle sewing machine while she stitched my Sunday best
dresses. I have always sewn, cross stitched or embroidered and with
having two girls of my own more so in the past few years.
