I am Edna Smith of EMS Designs and live in a rural subdivision in Chester, Virginia.
I have been digitizing for over 3 years now, while learning it for about four years prior to that.
I've taken art and photography classes at the local college for about 15 years and wanted
to put those years to good use so digitizing is my expression of my art. I started digitizing
with PE Design Version 2 and Version 4 and then started using Artista Version 3, 4 and now Version 5.
A lot of my designs are my own artwork.
My Dad was a professional photographer and sometimes I use his pictures to digitize from. My Dad
is not alive anymore but his pictures keep him in my memory.
I have been married to the most supportive husband for 13 1/2 years and I can't thank my husband enough
for his patience while I am working on my designs. Between us both we have
8 grown kids and 12 grandchildren and cherish every moment with them.
I have been sewing and doing hand embroidery since I was a little child and when they
came out with the embroidery machines it didn't take me very long to get one.
I worked as a hair designer for longer than I wish to say and since I retired my new career
is digitizing, which I love to do. I strive to do my best and have learned more
on the different techniques that are coming out on the new software.
I work very hard at digitizing and hope that it shows in my designs and I aim to please my customers.
