I would like to tell you a little about myself. My name is Riani van Tonder and I am 50 something. I live in Pretoria in sunny South Africa. I am married for the second time to a wonderful husband who’s love and understanding means so much to me. Without his encouragement I could not do this work. I have three grown children and three grand daughters and one grand son. I am looking after the grandchildren in the afternoons. They and my loving husband are my inspiration. I have been sewing and doing needlework since I was about 4 years old. I always loved fabrics, lace, beads, yarns, ribbons, buttons and anything to do with sewing or needlework. I also have a very big collection of all that. I always manage to find something very unique when sewing for the grandchildren. Gaby loves clothes and she likes to design her own that I have to make. I am a qualified home decorator and fashion designer. I am also very artistic and love drawing. I bought my first Husqvarna in 1999 and software in 2000 and immediately fell in love with digitizing and machine embroidery. I am now the proud owner of a 15 needle Tajima Embroidery Machine and a Husqvarna D1. I am using the 4D Embroidery System for digitizing.
