Stefani
lives in Sunnyside, WA which is a fairly small agricultural town
in central Washington State. She has been married to Spencer for
21 years. He is retired military and is now a high school math
teacher. They have 3 children ages 19, 17 and 14.
Design
Stash is the result of her learning to digitize back in early
2001. She was interested in embroidery back in the mid to late
90’s but was not able to get her first embroidery machine and
software until the fall of 2000.
Her
embroidery business is part time and she works full time in the
office of a local car dealership. She is also taking a full time
load of online college classes. “Time is definitely something I
don’t have enough of!”
Stefani’s
favorite embroidery technique is cross stitch and would love to
explore combining regular embroidery with cross stitch, much like
the old stamped patterns that her grandmother used to embroider on
linens. In her free time she enjoys sewing, of course, gardening,
reading and cooking.
She credits her husband and mother for
their support stating “there’s no way I could have made it this
far without them.” She also adds “While I don’t get to
spend as much time on the business as I would like, I still go out
of my way to make sure that my customers are happy and that they
enjoy the embroidery process as much as I do.”
