Hi my name is Carolyn of Attic Treasures. I am 56 yrs old. I am married with 1 son 1 daughter and 2 stepsons. I have 7 grandkids, 2 boys and 5 girls. The oldest girl is 10 the youngest boy is 2. I have always loved sewing and I particularly love heirloom sewing, either by hand or by machine. When My daughter was little I made all her clothes. Now at age 23, she wants store bought. I have been digitizing for about 6 yrs. I digitize using PE-design ver.7. I own Embird and I use that also to digitize. Last year I bought the Bernina Artista 200 and have been teaching myself to use that software as well. I did take an heirloom hand sewing class once, and I asked the teacher/owner of the shop a question on how to do a particular stitch and her reply was, "don't be so stupid." So I stopped being stupid and didn't go back. I taught myself how to do the heirloom sewing. I love what I do and I want to do more. I want to learn to do cutwork and some free-standing lace. I have never met Jackie in person but have talked with her many times over the phone. She has encouraged me more times than I can count. I did have my designs at another mall before I contacted Jackie. The other mall person had the same attitude as the lady in the heirloom shop. When I emailed Jackie to ask if I could join the mall, just thru an email I knew OPW Mall was where I wanted to be. I hope to be able to grow and learn new things.
