Carolyn has been digitizing for
about 15 years. This has turned into a full time career known as
Attic Treasures.
She has been sewing since she was 12 and “that
would be about the same time I became interested in hand
embroidery and machine embroidery naturally followed.” She also
loves to make children’s clothes and do heirloom hand embroidery.
Her favorite machine embroidery technique is
creating motifs that can be used in her digitizing. She would
also like to explore free standing lace and cutwork. For the
future growth of her business she states, “I would like to be able
to say that I make as much money digitizing as I would if I worked
outside the home.”
Carolyn credits her husband of 29 years, Dewayne,
for his support and to Jackie of Oregon Patchworks for all her
help. “I would like to say that I wouldn’t trade jobs with anyone
because I love what I do. And I hope to continue to learn new
techniques and become a master of my skills.”
Carolyn has 2
children and 4 grandchildren – Emily 13, Lauren 10, Jacob 6 and
Parker 20 months.
